Here is a little bit about me:
Personal details – born in Canterbury, raised on the West Coast and South Canterbury, lived briefly in Sydney ( still my fav Australian city!) and then spent most of my late 20s and 30s in Auckland. Our daughters were born there, but we brought them back to the Mainland to attend their schooling in Nelson – something they have thanked me for! My Heritage.com test came back 95% Celtic- I felt a bit ripped off not to have more Viking, but I am learning to embrace my celtic roots!
Career Details – my love of horses meant I thought I would like working at the South Island Head office of the TAB, but accounts weren’t for me. Thereafter followed administrative, customer service positions and then sales roles. I always loved the relationship building aspect of sales, so when I got into recruitment I thought I had found my forever job, and I really enjoyed working with some exciting companies in their growth mode, such as Lion Breweries. Having my children meant a break in my career as I was fortunate enough to be a full time Mum for several years. It was then I got into real estate, and I think this is truly my calling 😊
Achievements - I have won a few awards in Recruitment and in my real estate work. I am proud of them for sure, but my greatest achievement to date is being Mum to 2 great kids. Corny, but true! I am continuing to strive for excellence in my real estate, and to offer a genuine and caring support as well as a great sales result for people moving homes.
Hobbies – I don’t have any, I am too busy doing my job! No seriously, it used to be horses, now I am trying to get back into tramping, reading more instead of scrolling, going to the movies, and supporting local hospitality establishments.
Sarah’s real estate career came from humble beginnings, as the career path was suggested to her from a family friend. Real Estate was the only thing that instantly ‘stuck’ for Sarah and felt right straight away.
Fast-forward to now, and her career has seen her work with leading real estate agents in the Nelson region, who’ve reached elite status within the industry. This made for a fast-tracked learning experience and a goal to strive for herself, which led her to Welcome Real Estate. Working alongside one of Nelson’s most accomplished agents, Wendy, Sarah is excited to take her career to the next level.
“After working for a larger, more corporate company, I couldn’t believe the difference when joining Wendy. It is a privilege to learn the skills I will need for my career from such a caring, giving and professional woman.”
Diligent, approachable and composed – Sarah is committed to providing a service with good communication and transparency.
If you don’t find me at an open home or at the office, you’ll find me playing volleyball, with my horse, dog or enjoying beautiful Nelson – I look forward to seeing you around!
